CRAZY ABOUT MAC!

For those of you who have been looking for a sign that I might have found love again...well, I think that time is now!

I met him the other day and I have never seen such a beautiful sight in my life. Such a colourful personality and so very bright. I think the thing I was impressed with the most was the sheer size of him! Who ever said "Size Doesn't Matter" clearly, has never met my love Mac!

I don't like to brag, but I have had many in the past who have satisfied me with the length and width of it and all what they could do with it, but NEVER, have I had 27 inches of sheer delight! *ahhh..sigh*

Oh, oh dear...I just re-read what I had just wrote and I don't want to give you the wrong impression here! I was talking about my new Mac computer of course! I can only imagine what you must be thinking but I have to confess, now that I have had more time to think about it...it's probably the most satisfying experience I've had in a long time. Hmm...is that pathetic or what??!!

Well, be that as it may, I am loving my Mac and my new Adobe Creative Suite 6 software and before you know it, I'll be posting all kinds of beautifully creative stuff. Can't wait! Hope you are all happy that I have found true love. Well, until the next upgrade at least. Oh if only upgrading our men would be this easy.

CRAZY DAY!

Ok, don't worry, I'm not going to start all my posts with "CRAZY" but seriously, what a day!  I was having trouble with my Windows 7 O/S and it was hanging like crazy (oops! I did it again!) but I was on the phone and with the tech through remote from 11:30am to 8:00pm!  I'm not kidding! It took that long!

The two gentlemen I spoke to were from New Delhi, India, and they were very nice. One thought I sounded like I was 28 or 30! LOL Well, I fell for it because the next thing I know I was buying a 2yr virus protection software from him! Well, I did need it since I only have a free AVG and frankly, it didn't catch the trojan virus I got or the over 50,000 malware, adware and tracking cookies that were on my computer!!!
 
Any-who, I advise all of you who think your current "free" virus protection software is working fine for you to quickly upgrade now!  You DO NOT want to lose a day of your life to this process, nor do you want to get your banking info stolen! I think I caught that in time or they looked at my account and perhaps thought maybe they should be putting money IN the account instead!

So when the dust finally settled from my "Crazy Day" I do know one thing:

"If I ever travel to India, I have a couple of nice tour guides who would be happy to show me around."

CRAZY TIMES!
 

Learning to start your own business is a BIG SCARY DEAL!  Maybe I should have just flown out the door with a business card in my hand and naively went into the night!  I may have not been as freaked out as I am at this moment, but I’m sure I would not have a clue how to begin and would have quickly been discouraged.

 

I guess what’s freaking me out is the amount of stuff I don’t know that I thought I knew. With technology growing in leaps and bounds it’s hard to stay with it. Discovering you may be a “Jack of all Trades, Master of None!” is not a good start.

 

For example, here are just a few things on my “wish list” I would like to cover before I actually say I’m qualified to do what I’m in business for:

1. Finish my online study course in Desktop Publishing & Design (oh, only 13 more modules to go!)
2. Learn HTML5 & CSS3 to make websites
3. Learn more about all the social media stuff (talk about Jack of all trades, master of none!)
4. Work on my presentation to get accepted into the Self-employment course I want
5. When I get in, (positive acknowledgement here) I have 7 weeks of hardcore classes
6. I have to find a place to live by Sept 1^st at the latest!
7. Market Research is the bitch that I will become slave too
8. Checking out suppliers and my competition (who are both by the way)!
9. Info searching on the internet (more bitch work)
10. ...and while I’m at it, try and lose some weight, which shouldn’t be too hard unless my computer knows how to make cookies!

So my friends, as you can tell, my “Crazy” is showing again!

Wings

When I was a little girl

I believed we all had wings

I would dream of flying

High upon the wind.

Our wings were invisible

And very small in size

But as we grew into ourselves

They would appear when we reached the skies.

But somewhere along the way

My wings became dark and singed

From all the times I touched the flames

Of some self-made hell I was in.

No dream to pull me out

I felt so very alone

No chance for turn-about.

I never intended

So when the heavens opened
