Wings

When I was a little girl
I believed we all had wings
I would dream of flying
High upon the wind.

Our wings were invisible
And very small in size
But as we grew into ourselves
They would appear when we reached the skies.

But somewhere along the way
My wings became dark and singed
From all the times I touched the flames
Of some self-made hell I was in.

There seemed to be no hope
No dream to pull me out
I felt so very alone
No chance for turn-about.

I never intended
Or even meant to
Be the one
To disappoint You.

So when the heavens opened
And You spoke my name
You welcomed me anyway
And I went, without fear or shame.

Now in Your arms
I feel all the love
That when I was little
I always dreamed of.

Change

"CHANGE". What is your reaction? Negative or Positive?

It seems to me that no matter what the situation, it usually means both. It's funny how we view coins in our pocket as "change" because isn't all change like a two-sided coin?

For example, in my case, it's about changing my moving address, changing my job, changing my life, all at the same time. Big changes can be scary and thus are labelled negative but, on the other side, big changes can be exhilarating, exciting, interesting and thus feel positive.

I'm in for some big changes come December when my life as I know it will be spun up in the air like the chance flip of a coin. My emotions feel like that right now, scared and excited, all at the same time.

Well, I don't know how things will turn out but like any one of us who puts their life in the hands of fate, I will be as curious as you to see where it lands and hope for the best outcome.

I'll keep you posted.
